Structural Genomics Databases
結構基因體研究的目的是要以實驗及理論計算的方法來決定蛋白質的三度空間結構。蛋白質的結構資訊不僅對功能的註解有用,對新藥的研發也很重要,另一個目標是希望提供每一個蛋白質家族至少有一個代表性的結構。如何在眾多的候選者選出目標來決定結構是非常重要的,因此利用生物資訊的方法來分析序列及結構的資料,以提供目標蛋白的選擇就成了結構基因體計畫的第一步。我們可以藉由比較已知的資料庫資料,預測及分析目標蛋白,來幫助結構學家選擇目標,並提供一個溝通及協調的平台 (詳細內容請見: 生物資訊在結構基因體學的應用,科儀新知,27(4):10-18)。相關的結構基因體計畫包括: Xanthomonas campestris, Helicobacter pylori, Klebsiella pneumoniae 及 Stenotrophomonas maltophilia 等。

GPDB: Genome Profile DataBase.
GPDB has been developed to provide and compare features of the fully sequenced organisms in a graphic and easy-reading way. We focus on these prokaryotes including bacteria and archaea. In this post-genome era, we try to grab the information derived from both nucleotide and protein sequence in a genome-wide scale. We provide some "Genome Profile", develop on-line graphic browsing interface and use hierarchical clustering method to compare and view the difference between these organisms.

BioTeam iNquiry
is a cluster enabled bioinformatics platform that becomes the portal for distributed computing. Many informatics tools have a UNIX command line interface and require the submission of UNIX shell statements to a distributed resource management system in order to schedule their execution on a cluster. The BioTeam iNquiry goes beyond the command line to provide an intuitive human readable consistent interface to over 200 cluster enabled bioinformatics tools.
